What do we know?
Distinguish retailer and seller routes. Joybuy’s public factsheet describes an online retailer with direct brand sourcing across the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Luxembourg. That is not evidence that every applicant can open a self-service marketplace account.
Obtain terms for the actual relationship. Before paying a consultant or preparing a dedicated shipment, ask whether the proposed agreement is wholesale supply, a third-party marketplace relationship or another route. Request the commercial contact and written terms. The sources reviewed here do not establish a universal €1.5 million turnover threshold or a standard commission.
Assign the work in writing. As a practical contract checklist, identify seller of record, stock owner, importer, product compliance records, delivery milestones, returns, payment timing and unsold-stock terms. Reuse existing documents where they cover the products and countries. Do not treat a group acquisition headline as proof of completed integration or access to every warehouse.
Start with these checks. You may already have what you need.
| Question | What to check | Useful next step |
|---|---|---|
| Which commercial route is actually offered? | Retail supplier, marketplace seller or another contract. | Obtain terms addressed to your legal entity. |
| Who handles stock and consumer obligations? | Ownership, importer, seller of record, product files and returns. | Allocate the tasks before shipping inventory. |
| Does the proposed deal add value? | Net proceeds, payment timing, delivery and unsold-stock risk. | Compare with your existing wholesale or marketplace route. |
