easyShop: what should you confirm before adding another sales channel?
One account can simplify operations, but does not establish your tax treatment or guarantee demand.

Does this affect my business?
Existing retailers considering easyShop’s European marketplace network.
What do we know?
Verify the actual offer. OnCommerce currently describes easyShop as a marketplace across 21 countries, with business verification and country-level stock, pricing and delivery settings. Its no-compete claim concerns its own stock; it does not guarantee sales, placement or a buyer audience for your product.
Check the operational cost. Read the current subscription and category fee, payout timing and country-specific return options. Compare those terms with the agreements you already have for shipping, support and stock. A small catalogue trial is a practical way to learn whether the channel adds profitable orders.
Ask what the platform does for VAT. The Commission distinguishes Import OSS for eligible imports, Union OSS sales and marketplace deemed-supplier cases. A platform VAT collection feature is not proof that all of your import, stock or domestic obligations disappear. Obtain the actual tax reports and ask your existing adviser which transactions they cover.
Start with these checks. You may already have what you need.
| Question | What to check | Useful next step |
|---|---|---|
| Can my business and products use the channel? | Seller verification, category access and intended countries. | Confirm the actual seller terms and account access. |
| Can I fulfil and handle returns profitably? | Category fees, subscription, delivery, returns and payout delay. | Compare one SKU with your current channels. |
| Which tax work is already covered? | Entity, stock location, transaction type and platform tax reports. | Ask the current adviser to identify remaining tasks. |
You can use this checklist yourself or with your existing adviser. To ask OCW, describe the missing facts in your own words. This article is available for reading and manual follow-up; it does not enable an automatic answer for this topic.
