Babysense Max View recall: match the model, not just the brand

Check affected inventory and the official replacement route; this is a February recall, not a new October incident.

Source checked:

Timing: US recall dated 26 February 2026; checked 24 October. Other countries have their own notices.

Does this affect my business?

US sellers or buyers holding the recalled Babysense Max View baby-monitor display units, including returned or second-hand stock.

What do we know?

Confirm the identity. The US notice covers Babysense Max View model VBM55; its parent display label reads VBM55RX. Compare the actual label and photographs, including returned or second-hand stock. A product name alone is not enough.

Use the stated remedy. CPSC instructs consumers to stop using the affected display unit and contact Hisense for a free replacement. The identified issue is the parent display, rather than a blanket finding that every camera is faulty. Sellers should compare stock and returns with the notice before continuing to offer them.

Plan the return or disposal safely. Follow the recall operator’s instructions. CPSC warns against ordinary rubbish, general recycling and standard retail battery boxes for these recalled devices. Ask the local hazardous-waste service whether it accepts the recalled battery/device. Do not invent your own shipping or destruction procedure from a general battery checklist.

Start with these checks. You may already have what you need.
